The Department of Security Services (DSS) has arrested five security personnel from different agencies alleged to have been compromised by Nasir El-Rufai at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport on February 12, 2026.
It was gathered that the five security officers from the Nigeria Police Force, the DSS, Nigerian Immigration Service (NIS), and the Aviation Security (AVSEC) were arrested after a joint investigation by the DSS, NIS, Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) and Federal Ministry of Aviation.
They arrested officers included ASP Ayuba Yakubu – Nigeria Police, Murtala Inuwa – DSS, ASI Najeeb Murtala – NIS, Musa Adamu – Aviation Security (AVSEC), Salihu Victor – AVSEC.
Further checks indicated that the five officers have confessed to receiving bribes to facilitate unauthorized entry into Restricted Areas, to obstruct lawful security operation in an unprecedented manner.
The five officers have already been handed over to Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC) for prosecution.
Forefront News gathered that others from NIS and NCS whose involvement is not criminal as they did not receive bribe, but abuse their uniforms to facilitate unauthorized access, will be made to face administrative action.
