The Department of State Services (DSS) has arrested one Innocent Chukwuma, who used his social media handle to advocate for a military coup.
Chukwuma pointedly called on the Nigerian military to overthrow the President Bola Ahmed Tinubu-led federal government.
Following the development, the DSS successfully trailed Chukwuma to Oyigbo in Port Harcourt, the Rivers State capital.
Chukwuma had posted on his “X” handle “@TheAgroman,” declaring that a coup was needed in Nigeria and therefore called on the military to “suspend the Nigerian government.”
His post read; “A coup in Nigeria is needed. Dispose of APC, suspend the Nigerian Government, and join the AES. That is all we need now.
“It will happen eventually. Nigerians, the military needs your support now! Only them can save this country.
“The bastard in Aso Rock has basically sold this country to the West, and they run our intelligence apparatus. Only the military can reset this country. Support them,” Chukwuma stated on his post.
A security sources said that Chukwuma is cooperating with DSS investigators.
A security expert, Zagazola Makama, had on Wednesday, October 29, 2025 posted on his official X handle saying that the suspect was tracked down and apprehended in Oyigbo, Port Harcourt, Rivers State.
