As Muslim faithful commemorate this year’s Eid-el-Kabir, Benue State Governor, Rev. Fr. Hyacinth Alia, admonished them to imbibe the spirit of love, sacrifice, tolerance and unity.

Governor Alia while felicitating with the Muslim faithful, noted that Eid Mubarak, remains a significant spiritual event in the Muslim Calendar and therefore urged them to display those exemplary attributes Prophet Mohammed (PUH) preached.

A statement by Tersoo Kula, Chief Press Secretary to the Governor of Benue State, said that Governor Alia also urged Muslim faithful in the state and beyond to continue to pray and support his administration and that of the President Bola Ahmed Tinubu-led Federal Government, as it strives hard to fulfil its electoral mandate to the people.

Governor Alia while wishing Muslim faithful a Happy Eid Mubarak celebration, expressed optimism that the State and country will surely overcome its current challenges.
