El-Rufai Will Be A Snake In Tinubu’s Cabinet – Shehu Sani

• Says he narrowly escaped death during El’Rufai’s reign in Kaduna

Senator Shehu Sani, who represented Kaduna Central in the 8th National Assembly has declared that former Governor Nasir El-Rufai in President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s cabinet will be like snake in the room.

This was as he expressed surprised that the same El-Rufai, who supported former Minister of Transportation, Rotimi Amaechi in the All Progressives Congress primary and only concentrated on his son wining the House of Representatives ticket while allowing Tinubu to lose in in Kaduna, could be lobbying for appointment.

Shehu Sani therefore cautioned President Tinubu on the dire need to avoid ex-Kaduna Governor by all means, saying that he only succeeded in leaving behind legacies of terrorism, tyranny and unquantifiable debt in Kaduna State.

Sen Sani also accused El-Rufai’s administration of haunting his life and that of other opposition figures in Kaduna State, stressing that El-Rufai’s exit is an affliction gone.

In his words; “Gunmen attacked my office and APC thugs were used to trail me wherever I went. They also ordered the military to arrest one of my aides, Bashir Ahmad in 2017. Bashir was tortured by soldiers to implicate me in a murder case I knew nothing about.

“The police declined the case when it was evident that it was political. El-Rufai also sponsored my political enemies to investigate my academic credentials with the view of prosecuting me and ejecting me from the Senate.

“My campaign office was attacked before the general elections. I remain committed to serving the people no matter the political intimidation and I remain resolute in speaking truth to power,” he said.

The human rights activist said that the administration of Tinubu would perform better without El-Rufai in any position.

Sani further said; “Tinubu should be careful not to bring close to him a habitual and career Judas”.
