Emir Of Kaura Namoda Drums Support For Take-Off Of College Of Legal And Islamic Studies

Emir of Kaura Namoda in Zamfara State, Dr Sanusi Mohammed Ahmed Asha, has appealed to Governor Dauda Lawal to work towards the immediate take-off of the State College of Legal and Islamic Studies, Kaura Namoda.

The emir who made the appeal at the distribution of fertilizer, tillers and other inputs to farmers in the emirate for irrigation, commended Governor Lawal for keeping to his promises and initiatives aimed at developing the state.

He said that the Emirate is in support of the state Community Protection Guards (CPG) nicknamed ‘AskarawA’ that was recently inaugurated by the governor to augment the effort of the conventional security operatives to address insecurity in the state.

Emir Asha also thanked Governor Lawal for the allocation of over N350 million for the renovation of the General Hospital, Kaura Namoda as well as the over N200 million for the construction of Women Development Center, in addition to the governor’s decision for the renovation of the Emir’s palace which is to commence this year.

The emir said his emirate remain indebted to Govenor Lawal for the kind gestures, adding that there was an ongoing overhauling of Kaura Namoda dam and provision of an irrigation farming site which will improve the food security of the state and beyond.

The monarch also acknowledged the effort of the governor in revamping farming activities in line with the state’s slogan “Zamfara State farming is our pride”.

The emir urged farmers to actively support the government’s initiatives aimed at restoring the lost glory of farming in the region.
