Enugu APC Suspends Buhari’s Aide, 19 Others Indefinitely
BY RAPHAEL ONYEKACHUKWU, ENUGU – The ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), Enugu State chapter, has suspended indefinitely President Muhammadu Buhari’s adviser on Justice Reform, Barr. Juliet Ibekaku, the party’s ex-governorship candidate, Mr. Valentine Nnadozie and eighteen others for violation of the party’s constitution.
Among those the party suspended in a release titled: ‘Notice of indefinite suspension for violation of Article 21 (a)(v) of our party constitution,’ signed by the embattled chairman, Dr. Ben Nwoye, and issued on Tuesday without date are: “Deputy Chairman, Adolphus Udeh; Woman Leader, Lolo Queen Ngozi Nwankwo; Youth Leader, Mr. Ikechukwu Oloto; Assistant Secretary, Mr. Louis Okolo; ex-Financial Secretary, Mr. Sydney Eze; ex-Treasurer, Mr. Ebere Okolo; Mrs. Maris Jidefor, Barr. Ejike Ugwu, Rev. Jonas Onuroa, Mr. Elijah Ngene, Barr. Juliet Ibekaku, and Mr. Valentine Nnadozie.”
“Others are Barr. Valentine Ikpa, Mr. Tony Ibekwe, Mr. Amos Chinenye, Mr. Desmond Agu, Mr. Greg Ngwoke, Mr. Obinna Okwo, Mr. Rufus Nwagu and Mr. Godwin Ani.”
According to Nwoye, “This is to inform the general public that the under mentioned persons have been suspended indefinitely. APC National Secretariat has been notified of their suspension. The affected individuals have 7 days from the date of this notice to appeal their case.
“The affected persons are barred from attending any function organised or sponsored by All Progressives Congress. Any member of the public dealing with them as members of APC does so at their own risk”.
The chairman, Dr Nwoye, was last week Monday suspended from the party for alleged financial mismanagement and running the party like personal estate.
