Following the heroics of Manchester United at Old Trafford on Thursday night, the final four of this year’s UEFA Europa League have been confirmed.

Sweet victory for United players

With the tournament entering its final stages, only the most prolific clubsides are now remaining to compete for honours.

Tottenham Hotspur, who completed their away victory at Frankfurt, are the second English side in the semi-finals round.

Both Ruben Amorim and Ange Postecoglou have been living on thin ice at their respective clubs and Europa League glory seems the only way to keep hopes alive as they live to see another day.

Interestingly, there is every possibility of United and Tottenham lining up an all-English final if they win their respective ties. Coming into the final four as favourites, both teams will be keen to get their hands on the Champions League spot come next season.

Facing a thoroughly disappointing season in the Premier League, the Europa League remains their only option to compete. It will be a week of excitement and drama as the semi-final stages will commence in the first week of May.
