Ex-International Justice Christopher Dies @40

Former international and Super Eagles midfielder, Justice Christopher, is dead.

Christopher, who last played club football for Nasarawa United in the Nigerian league, was 40 years old.

Reports indicate that Christopher slumped at his hotel complex in Jos, the Plateau State capital on Tuesday evening and was rushed to the hospital where he was confirmed dead.

He had 11 caps to his name playing for the national football team, the Super Eagles and was a member of the squad that featured at the 2002 FIFA World Cup in co-hosted by Japan and South Korea.

Among the several clubs whose jerseys were worn by the deceased include Katsina United; Sharks FC of Port Harcourt; Bendel Insurance FC of Benin; and Nasarawa United.

Also, Christopher’s professional career took him to Antwerp FC (Belgium), Levski Sofia (Bulgaria), Trelleborgs FF (Sweden), Alania Vladikavkaz in Russia and Herfølge BK in Denmark.
