Former Nigerian beauty queen, Miss Najeebat Sule, has been shot dead inside her car parked by her residence situated at 8800 block of Frankford Avenue on March 12, 2021.

Curiously, nearly three weeks after the gruesome murder of the 24years old former Nigerian beauty Queen, the police is yet to establish any motive nor made arrests, thereby leaving the late Sule’s family and friends searching for answers difficult t.

Feeling terribly downcast over the sad development, a close friend of the Late Miss Sule, Miss Habibat Magaji, who was among the last people to have seen Sule alive before she was gunned down said; “I can’t think of anything that would make anyone want to kill her”.

Both Magaji and the Late Sule had spent the night before at Magaji’s home, eating snacks and watching Netflix together.

However, less than 24 hours later, the Late Sule was sitting in her grey Toyota Corolla and exchanging text messages with Magaji, when an unidentified man walked up to the vehicle with a gun drawn and shot her several times.

Father of the Late Sule, Mr Adewale Sule, said that he heard the gunfire and came out from the house just in time and saw the suspect fired the last of the shots at his daughter.

He said; “I saw the guy shooting my daughter. He shot the last round and I pursued him. He ran back to his car”.

Najeebat was rushed to Jefferson Torresdale Hospital, where she was pronounced dead about 30 minutes later.

Her mother, Tawakalitu Sule, said she heard from Najeebat less than two hours before the shooting when her daughter asked her when she was going to be home.

According to her; “All of my children have been crying every day because of their big sister. They really miss her. I miss my daughter”.

The Late Najeebat, described as very talented, smart and funny, is survived by her parents and two sisters.

The family are presently staying at an undisclosed location over unspecified concerns for their safety.

The Late Sule and her family migrated to Philadelphia from their native Nigeria in the early 2000s.

She recently earned a Master’s degree in Public Health from West Chester University and was pursuing a doctorate degree programme.

The Late Najeebat Sule was crowned a second runner-up at the Miss Nigeria International pageant in 2019.
