Expectations Of Christians From NCPC Are High – CAN President Says

The President of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), His Eminence, Most Reverend Daniel Okoh has said that the expectations of Christians in the country are high with the appointment of RT. Rev. Adegbite as the Executive Secretary of the Nigeria Christian Pilgrim Commission (NCPC).

This was as he said that the Commission is an expression of excellence and a flagship for Christians, adding that Christians expect better service and cooperation from the NCPC.

Okoh, who stated these on Tuesday, February 6, 2024 when he paid a visit on the Executive Secretary of the Commission, Rev. Stephen Adegbite at the corporate headquarters of NCPC in Abuja, said that the church owns the NCPC and it can only get better.

The CAN president described the Executive Secretary of the NCPC as a competent co-labourer in the vineyard of God that has the capacity and available to add value to every system. In the words of Okoh; “We all can attest to this. We are not partisan as a body hence we are in NCPC to pledge our support.

“We would continue to pray for you and it our prayer that anything that comes out from NCPC would be good. Let us see how we can move this place better”.

He charged Christians to pray for those in authority and particularly prayed for the tenure of Adegbite to flourish.

Responding, the new Executive Secretary of NCPC, RT. Rev Stephen Adegbite thanked the CAN President for finding it deserving to pay him a courtesy visit and assured that he would follow due diligence to the latter in whatever he would do as NCPC boss.

Adegbite said that his position as the Executive Secretary of NCPC is for CAN, adding that this was the first time somebody of in the of a Bishop will be appointed as the Executive Secretary of NCPC.

The NCPC boss also assured the CAN President that with his prayers, he would deliver on the dividends of the Renewed Hope Agenda of the federal government, saying; “we are in safe hand; we are going to do what is right”.

A statement by Celestine Toruka, Deputy Director, Media and Public Relations of the NCPC, stated that Adegbite appreciated his predecessors for their contributions to the growth of the Commission, adding that he would start where they stop.

The NCPC boss stressed that whatever he would do, he would do it with the fear of God.
