Emerging facts following the sudden foreign trip embarked on by the Presidential Candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Atiku Abibakar, indicate that the former Vice President left Nigeria for Paris, France through the Kaduna Airport on Monday night.

This is contrary to claims by one of the spokesmen of Ahmed Bola Tinubu, the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Femi Fani-Kayode, that Atiku collapsed at the Abuja International Airport and was quickly flown out to France for medical attention.

Checks by Forefront News revealed that Fani-Kayode may have deliberately put out the allegation of ill-health against Atiku just to settle score with the PDP that the APC considered have been attacking it particularly its presidential candidate below the belt.

Fani-Kayode twitted on his verified Twitter handle saying; “After his outing in Kaduna yesterday @atiku fell ill. He complained of dizzy spells & severe pains in his head & all over his body throughout the flight to Abuja. After landing at Abuja airport he collapsed. He was flown to Paris for medical attention immediately. God be with him.

“..For the purposes of damage control they took pictures of him with others the following morning from Paris but please do not be fooled. There is something very wrong with the PDP pres. candidate in terms of his health & they don’t want the Nigerian public to know. Pray for him.”

However, the Media Adviser to the PDP Presidential Candidate, Mr. Paul Ibe pointedly debunked the insinuations of Fani-Kayode, saying that all the APC chieftain alleged were fabrications of lies and figment of his imagination.

In a statement, Ibe said that Atiku off to Europe on business trip from the Kaduna Airport and not Abuja, adding that the PDP Presidential candidate travelled on Monday night on a scheduled trip to meet with the technical partners of one his business entities that was impacted by the Covid-19 global lockdown and the consequent economic downturn.

Ibe further said; “The meeting will also focus on conclusive discussions for a planned expansion of its production facility”.

Commenting on the matter, one of the presidential spokes persons, Mr. Kola Ologbondiyan told Forefront News that APC campaigns claims on Atiku trip were nothing but cheap propaganda thy are known for.

According to him; “They know that they have nothing to run with thus, their resort to dishing out tissues of lies and cheap propaganda. That is all they are good at doing and the joy of it is that Nigerians know them.

“The APC knows that they will have to run this time around on the record of performance from 2015 to present day. They have nothing to tell Nigerians and they know it,” he said.
