BY SEGUN ADEBAYO – A member of the Federal House of Representatives, James Faleke, has berated the Minister of Interior, Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola for claiming that the National Leader of ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu is playing god.
Accusing Aregbesola of lying against Tinubu, who has declared intention to vie for Nigeria’s presidency come 2023, Faleke said the former Lagos State governor is always guided by God and has continued to show large-heartedness in his dealings with other people.
In a statement issued on Friday, February 18, the lawmaker said contrary to Aregbesola’s claim, Tinubu has never played God to his political followers, associates and supporters alike.

According to Faleke, the Minister has unfortunately allowed his present personal opinions, interests, and emotions to becloud his sense of reasoning in making such damning accusations against the APC National Leader.
In raising his voice to condemn Aregbesola’s comments, Faleke stated thus; “When many of us, including and especially Hon Aregbesola and our families, look back to pre-1999 and see the level we were, and how God has used this same Asiwaju’s selfless efforts, sagacity, intellect, and money to mentor and promote us, we should be eternally grateful to God instead of engaging in ego tripping!
“God will not come down physically but will use people to help us to achieve our goals and that role of destiny helper is what Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu has been and is still playing.
“Asiwaju has never played God, rather his actions and utterances have always been divinely ordained. The man has always been guided by the spirit of God.
“There are so many politicians he has mentored and supported to greatness and they will forever be grateful to him.”
Recently, while addressing his supporters in Osogbo, the Minister, who is the immediate past governor of Osun State, had slammed Asiwaju Tinubu of suddenly playing God in dealing and handling of political issues concerning his associates and allies.
