FCC Chairman, Dr Dankanka Involved In Multiple Certificate Forgery – Group Alleges
BY OLAKUNLE AWONIYI, ABUJA – The Youths and Leadership Initiative Group (LYGEL) on Thursday accused the Chairman of the Federal Character Commission (FCC), Dr Muheeba Farida Dankanka of multiple academic certificate forgery.
The group therefore demanded the immediate resignation of the FCC chairman from office owing to what it described “obvious inconsistencies and irreconcilable credentials”.
It warned that in the event that she fails, neglects and or refuses to heed the request within seven days, it shall take necessary action to ensure justice is not only done but be seen to be done.
The director, legal and compliance of LYGEL, Mr. Olalekan Oladapo, who stated these at a press conference in Abuja on Thursday, said that the Nigerian State was misled into confirming the appointment of Dankanka as Chairman of a sensitive organiation as the FCC against the backdrop of her questionable certificates she dubiously presented to the senate.
The group said she sold to the Nigerian public an erroneous impression that she is well prepared and qualified to occupy the exalted office she presently occupies.
Oladapo said that a critical analysis and systematic review of the certified true copies of the credentials the FCC Chairman submitted to the Senate for her screening, clearly revealed that the name by which she goes is at variance with the names on the documents she presented which are different and irreconcilable with each other.
According to Oladapo; “Dr MUHEEBA FARIDA DANKANKA” is the official name by which the chairman of the FCC goes.
“The name on the Master’s degree certificate obtained from Ahmadu Bello University (ABU) which she presented to the senate reads; ‘MUUIBAT ADENIKE SALAWU’.
“No doubt, this is different from and grossly irreconcilable with the official name of the FCC chairman “Dr Muheeba Farida Dankanka.
“We are of the firm view that a party must not be allowed to profit from his or her fraud as no decent system or polity should condone or through judicial policy and decisions, encourage the dangerous culture of forging certificates with impunity,” the group stressed.
He said that the group is determined to properly place and situate the issue before members of the public, the infamous history that propelled the present chairman of the FCC to her present office and to publicly request that she resigns immediately as the chairman of the commission.
