BY EDMOND ODOK, ABUJA – Ahead of Saturday’s presidential and National Assembly elections, the Federal Government has declared Friday, 22 February as a public holiday, to enable citizens prepare for the re-scheduled polls.

However,  a statement by the Ministry of Interior said Bankers and those offering essential services across the nation, are excluded from the holiday.

According to the  statement issued late on Wednesday, February 20 in Abuja; “The work-free day is to enable citizens return to their polling units for the reschedule Presidential and National Assembly elections.”
