Finally: Emefiele Fulfils Bail Conditions, Leaves Kuje Prison

Embattled former Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), Mr Godwin Emefiele, has breathed air of freedom as he has released from the Kuje Correctional Centre, Abuja.

His release followed his meeting the bail conditions set for him by the court.

This was announced on Saturday, December 23, 2023 by the Public Relations Officer of the Correctional Centre Adamu Duza, who said that Emefiele was released on Friday, December 22.

The Federal Government through the Economic and Fincial Crimes Commission (EFCC) is prosecuting Emefiele over alleged procurement fraud and other financial malfeasance.
