Former Chief Of Naval Staff, Vice Admiral Ibrahim Iko Is Dead
Former Chief of Naval Staff, Vice Admiral Ishaya Ibrahim Iko is dead.
A member of the 14th Regular Course of the Nigerian Defence Academy, Kaduna, the late Chief of Naval Staff was born on September 19, 1952 in Kwoi, Jaba Local Government Area of Kaduna State.
He was also an old Boy of Government Secondary School, Kagoro, Kaduna State.
A family source told Forefront News that Late Admiral Iko, who was the 18th Chief of Naval Staff died on Tuesday in Abuja, after a brief illness.
Admiral Iko held different commanding positions in the Nigerian Navy amongst which include; Flag Officer Commanding, Naval Training Command and Naval Western Command before his appointment as Chief of Naval Staff in August 2008.
