Four Ex-governors, 24 Others Make Tinubu’s Ministerial List
Immediate past governors of Ebonyi, Jigawa, Kaduna and Rivers states, namely David Umahi, Mohammed Badaru Abubakar, Nasir El-Rufai, and Nyesom Wike respectively made President Bola Tinubu’s ministerial list.
This list which was read on the floor of the Senate on Thursday afternoon also indicated that the Special Adviser to the President on Special Duties, Communications and Strategy, Mr. Dele Alake and the National Woman Leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Dr. Beta Edu were included in the list.
The Chief of Staff to the President and former Speaker of the House of Representatives, Hon. Femi Gbajabiamila, present the ministerial list to the President of the Senate, Godswill Akpabio at about 1:19pm on Thursday afternoon.
The presentation of the ministerial list and official announcement by the Senate President put an end to the anxiety and long wait by Nigerians who were anxious to know those that would form part of the government of President Tinubu.
The ministerial list submitted by President Tinubu to the Senate and read by Senator Akpabio contained 28 nominees.
They include; Arc. Ahmed Dangiwa, Hannatu Musawa, Chief Uche Nnaji, Dr. Beta Edu, Dr. Doris Aniete Uzoka, David Umahi, Nyesom Ezenwo Wike, Mohammed Badaru Abubakar and Nasir El-Rufai.
Others included; Ekperipe Ekpo, Nkiru Onyeojiocha, Olubunmi Tunji Ojo, Hon. Stella Okotette, Uju Kennedy Ohaneye, Bello Mohammed Goronyo, Dele Alake, Lateef Fagbemi and the publisher of Blueprint Newspaper, Mallam Mohammed Idris.
The list also contained the names of Olawale Edun, Waheed Adebayo Adelabu, Mrs. Iman Suleiman Ibrahim, Prof. Ali Pate, Prof. Joseph Utsev, Acting National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Senator Abubakar Kyari, Senator John Eno and Senator Sani Abubakar Danladi.
