Gov. Alia Approves Changes At Bureau For Local Govt. And Chieftaincy Affairs

Benue State Governor, Rev. Fr. Hyacinth Alia, on Tuesday, September 23, 2025, approved some changes at the Bureau for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs.

The changes as approved by the Governor showed that Mr Denen Aondoakaa, who was the Adviser in Charge of the Bureau has been redeployed to the office of the Chief of Staff, Government House while Mr. Ajinge Saar Esq., and Derby Amine were deployed back to the Ministry of Justice.

Similarly, Mrs. Galu was redeployed to the Accountant General’s office with Shagba Ahura and Rhoda Aboh redeployed to Head of Service

In the meantime, the following were appointed to takeover at the Bureau of Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs.

They include; Terna Ayu – Permanent Secretary, Terkura B. Dzwungwe – Director in-charge of Account and Finance, Sule J Liambee – Director of Administration and Supply, Esther Osugh – Cashier, and Uza Christopher Uza as Director of Local Government Services.

In a related development, Mr. Noel Wende was also redeployed from BIPC to the Head of Service.

A statement by Sir Tersoo Kula, Chief Press Secretary to the Governor of Benue State, stated that the changes are with immediate effect.

The statement further directed those to takeover at the Bureau to report to their new offices not later than 8:00 am on Wednesday, September 24, 2025.
