Benue state Governor, Rev. Fr. Hyacinth Iormem Alia, has said that the State garnered for the state the construction and rehabilitation of some major road networks for the benefit of the people and ease of transportation.
Fr Alia therefore assured that Benue State under his leadership, and with the federal government under the able leadership of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the state will witness more development across the length and breadth of the state.
Governor Alia’s assurance came on the heels of the federal government granting approvals for the general rehabilitation of some key federal roads across the state upon his request that was diligently followed from political diplomacy.
A statement by the Chief Press Secretary to the Benue Governor, Sir Tersoo Kula, said that the federal roads in the state to be rehabilitated include; General Rehabilitation of the Aliade-Gboko-Yandev Federal Road, General rehabilitation of the Gboko-Lessel-Ihugh-Tse Mker Federal Road, and General Rehabilitation of the Oju-Otukpo Federal Road.

Governor Alia also said that among other things, that apart from the ongoing construction of roads/streets within Makurdi metropolis, some other metropolis in the state including, Gboko, Otukpo and Katsina-Ala will soon receive similar attention, adding that opening of rural roads is also prominently featured in the plans.
