Gov. Fubara Presents 2024 Budget To 4-Man House Of Assembly

Amidst the crisis tearing the legislature and Executive apart as a result of the political differences between Governor Siminalayi Fubara and his predecessor, Nyesom Wike, the Rivers State House of Assembly was on Wednesday presented with the State’s N800 billion 2024 Appropriation Bill.

Governor Fubara, who presented the budget tagged; ‘Budget of Renewed Hope, Consolidation and Continuity’, said that the Rivers State Executive Council had earlier approved the budget estimates.

The four-man Assembly was presided over by the Speaker, Hon. Edison Ehie, who was given legal back on Tuesday following the judgment of a High Court of Rivers State as the authentic Speaker of the State House of Assembly.
