BY UKANDI ODEY, JOS – As the second Plateau State Annual Executive Retreat closes, Governor Caleb Manasseh Mutfwang has called on all appointees to collaborate and be united toward providing quality leadership to the people of the state.
Represented by his deputy, Hon. Mrs Josephine Piyo, Gov Mutwang noted that the retreat was an opportunity for appointees to share innovative ideas for the growth and development of the state.
He said; “As we reflect on the past few days spent together, immersed in discussions, deliberations, and strategic planning, it is evident that we have taken significant strides towards our shared vision of a shining Plateau.
“The theme of this year’s retreat, ‘That Plateau May Shine’, encapsulates the collective aspiration and determination of all of us to move Plateau forward. We have come together with a common purpose – to unlock the immense potentials of our dear state towards harnessing its economic opportunities, and to pave the way for a brighter and prosperous future for all.
“Throughout the retreat, we engaged in fruitful dialogues, exchanged innovative ideas and charted a course of action that will propel Plateau toward sustainable development and inclusive growth.
“As we bring this retreat to a close, let us carry forward the spirit of friendship and cooperation that has defined our time together,” the Governor urged the participants as the got set to depart Miango Rest Home venue of the five-day brain-storming fiesta in Bassa local government area of the State.
He further said; “Let us remain steadfast in our resolve to implement the strategies and initiatives outlined during our discussions, knowing that our collective efforts will pave the way for a brighter and more prosperous Plateau,” he advised. The Governor thanked the facilitators and other partners for their support toward the success of the retreat and also called on the participants to put into good use the lessons learned from the retreat as they return to their various offices.
The exercise ended with a thirteen-point communique as resolutions reached for the good and development of the State during the retreat, with the communique presented by the secretary to the Government of the State, Architect Samuel Jatau, also concluding that “participants rose from the retreat with renewed vigour, determination, and commitment to make Plateau shine”.
