Gov Oborevwori Condoles Super Eagles Captain, Wilfred Ndidi On Father’s Death

The Delta State Governor, Sheriff Oborevwori, has commiserated with Super Eagles Captain, Wilfred Ndidi, over the death of his father, Mr Sunday Ndidi.

The deceased, Mr Sunday, a retired military officer, died in a fatal road accident on Tuesday in Umunede, Ika North East Local Government Area of the State.

Available reports indicated that he was rushed to a hospital in Agbor, where the medical personnel later confirmed him dead.

A statement issued by the Governor’s Chief Press Secretary, Sir Festus Ahon, on Wednesday in Asaba, the state capital, described the passing of the late Sunday as sudden, painful and a great loss, not only to the Ndidi family but also to the Umunede community and the entire Ika Nation.

The governor extended his heartfelt condolences to Wilfred, the bereaved family, and the people of Umunede, urging them to take solace in the deceased’s impactful life and legacy.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that “The tragic incident has drawn widespread sympathy, including Wilfred Ndidi’s club, and Besiktas, which confirmed the development in a statement released on its official X (formerly Twitter) handle.”

Governor Oborevwori prayed that God grant the family the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss and the soul of the departed eternal rest.
