Gov Ododo Unveils Security Vehicles For Kogi State Vigilantes

BY VICTOR BUORO – Focused on improving the safety and security of lives and property across Kogi State, Governor Usman Ododo on Friday unveiled new sets of security vehicles for the State Vigilante Service in the 21 Local Government Areas

Speaking at the ceremony in Lokoja, the State capital, Governor Ododo said his administration is committed to protecting lives and property in all parts of the state as well as ensuring that the State remains safe for both residents and visitors

The new operational vehicles are intended to enhance the operational efficiency of the Kogi State Vigilante Services in all the communities across the 21 local government areas of the State.

A statement by Ismaila Isah, Special Adviser on Media to the Governor quoted him as reassuring the people that he remains resolute and unwavering in tackling existing security challenges in the state.

He emphasized that no efforts would be spared to ensure that Kogi does not provide a haven for criminals and their unwholesome activities.

The Governor urged the residents to always be on guard and pointed out that the State government remains determined to overcome the challenges of insecurity with the ongoing reinvigoration of the security architecture in the State

He also appreciated the President Bola Ahmed Tinubu-led administration for the unwavering commitment to reverse the spate of security challenges in the country, promising that the Kogi State government will continue to support efforts by the federal government to stem the tide of insecurity in the country.

During the ceremony, Governor Ododo formally presented keys to 105 Security Vehicles and Motorcycles to the Chairmen of the 21 local government areas in the state.
