Gov Sule Hopeful On Nasarawa Assembly Crisis Resolution
BY TUKUR AHMED – The lingering leadership crisis rocking the Nasarawa State House of Assembly will soon be resolved amicably, according to the State Governor, Abdullahi Sule.
This is as he assured that fruitful and engaging discussions aimed at peacefully resolving the impasse have been ongoing with both camps showing enough goodwill to quickly commence normal legislative proceedings for the overall development of the state.
Speaking when he hosted members of the state Assembly led by Hon. Ibrahim Balarabe Abdullahi on a Sallah Homage at Government House Lafia on Monday, the Governor said the good people of Nasarawa State are eager to see their representatives legislate on matters that affect the socio-economic development of their areas and the state at large.
Governor Sule, who informed the lawmakers about the breakthroughs recorded on the investment front with the 100 million dollars investment by a lithium mining company in the Onda area of Nassarawa Local Government Area, saluted them for celebrating the Eid-el-Kabir successfully.
He also used the occasion to wish the 7th Assembly members well in the discharge of their legislative duties, while describing the visit as timely and in line with the spirit of the festive period.
In his remarks, the leader of the House delegation. Hon Ibrahim Balarabe Abdullahi said their visit was to rejoice and congratulate the governor on the successful Eid-el- Kabir celebration, even as he pledged members’ commitment to supporting the Governor in entrenching purposeful leadership for the peace and progress of the state.
Abdullahi also urged the Nasarawa people to support the State and Federal governments’ efforts at steering the state and the country on the path of sustainable development and growth.
