…Says, all presidential aspirants reached an agreement

One of the presidential aspirants on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PFDP), Mr. Dele Momodu, has

urged Governor Nyesom Wike to remember the “agreement” all the presidential aspirants of the Party reached and what he (Wike) particularly said in Abuja during PDP primaries.

Momodu specifically said that there is no way that the National Chairman of the PDP, Dr. Iyorchia Ayu would be removed that it will not affect the other members of the National Working Committee (NWC).

Momodu, who stated these when he featured on Arise Television News via online, pointedly said that before all the presidential aspirants on the platform of the PDP agreed to contest, they all knew, agreed and understood that the number one ticket will be open to every zone. He noted that the permutation and agreement at the time was based on who can win for the party irrespective of the zone he comes from.

In the words of Momodu; “This was a vow that we all made to support whoever that wins that presidential ticket in Abuja. Wike should remember this. No one predicted this very outcome”.

He therefore expressed surprise at the turn of events that led the Wike’s group to pull out of the Presidential Campaign Council of the Party.

He also said; “When APC picked a Muslim-Muslim ticket, they were looking for people who can win. So, why will PDP’s own be different?

Momodu however, said that Governor Wike is one of the best PDP Governors that has made himself available for the party thus, advised that the PDP presidential candidate and Wike should further dialogue to resolve all the issues before it is too late.
