Governor Alia Commiserates With Ododo Over Father’s Death

Benue State Governor, ‎Rev. Fr. Hyacinth Iormem Alia, has expressed his heartfelt condolences to his Kogi State counterpart, Governor Usman Ododo, over the death of his father, Alhaji Ahmed Momohsani Ododo.

‎Alhaji Momohsani Ododo died earlier in the week after a brief illness at the age of 83.

The late Ododo has already been buried in Okene, Kogi State, according to Islamic rites.

‎Governor Alia also extends his commiserations to the entire people of Kogi State, over the passing of their illustrious son and community leader, who was fondly loved and respected by his people.

He described the loss of a parent as painful, but urged Governor Ododo to take solace in the fact that his late father instilled leadership qualities in him during his lifetime, and was also endeared to many with his devotion to Islamic tenets and community service.

‎A statement by Sir Tersoo Kula, Chief Press Secretary to the Governor of Benue State, stated that Fr. Alia prayed to the Almighty God to forgive the shortcomings of the deceased and grant his soul eternal rest.
