Governor Hyacinth Alia on Monday, October 27, 2025, warmly welcomed Nigeria’s former Ambassador to Namibia, Dr. Terhemen Tarzoor into his political family over his public declaration of support him.
Governor Alia noted that the statement of endorsement by Ambassador Tarzoor was not only a mark of humility and maturity, but a clear testimony that truth, performance, and sincerity in governance cannot be ignored for long.
Tarzoor, a former Speaker of the Benue State House of Assembly and ex-Governorship candidate in the state, acknowledgment Governor Alia’s transformational leadership, emphasising that the visible progress across the state further reinforced the fact that development speaks louder than politics.
He said; “Governor Alia remains open, accommodating, and forward-looking; committed to uniting all Benue sons and daughters under a common vision of peace, growth, and prosperity.
“Moreover, it is a thing of joy and encouragement to see that those who once misunderstood the Governor’s mission are now coming to appreciate the genuine intent and remarkable results of his leadership,” he said.
In his brief remarks, Governor Alia commended Ambassador Tarzoor for choosing truth over sentiment and progress over politics, adding that indeed, no one can suppress the light forever as it shines until every eye beholds it.
Alia said; “Together, we shall continue to build a greater, united, and prosperous Benue State under God.
A statement by Sir Tersoo Kula, Chief Press Secretary to the Governor of Benue State, assured that Benue shall be great again, saying that in Alia, the state has found the Will and the Way.
