Governor Mohammed To LG Chairmen, District Heads – Assist In Tackling Insecurity
…Urges them to promote school enrollment
BY ADEYEMI AKANJI, BAUCHI – Governor Bala Mohammed of Bauchi State on Thursday, April, 7, 2022, challenged District Heads in the state to assist the government in checking incidences of insecurity in their domain.
He also urged them to mobilise and encourage the ongoing school enrollment to critically address the menace of out-of-school Children in the state.
This was as the Emir of Bauchi, Alhaji Rilwanu Suleiman Adamu called for an upward review of the salaries of traditional rulers for effective service delivery.
Mohammed, while distributing 38 vehicles to 38 District Heads across the six emirate councils of the state as part of his fulfillment of his promise to the Emir of Bauchi, said the vehicles were to assist them carry out their functions more effectively.
The Governor also distributed official vehicles to the 20 Local Government Council Chairmen in the state, saying that the gesture was meant to assist the beneficiaries discharge their official responsibilities with ease.
Mohammed therefore called on the traditional rulers to support the effort of his administration in the area of promotion of peace for the rapid development of Bauchi state.
Responding on behalf of the District Heads, the Emir of Bauchi, Alhaji Rilwanu Sulaiman Adamu commended the governor for prudently managing the resources of the state to the advantage of the masses.
Adamu, while acknowledging the commitment and dedication of Governor Mohammed towards ensuring the development of Bauchi state, noted that he has performed beyond expectations.
The traditional ruler expressed gratitude to Governor Mohammed for according traditional institution the desired respect.
