Governor Uba Sani Appoints Ibraheem Musa, 12 Others Into Various Positions
As part of his determination to reinvigorate his administration for a more robust, vigorous, effective and efficient service delivery, Governor Uba Sani of Kaduna State has approved the appointments of Malam Ibraheem Musa as Chief Press Secretary (CPS), and 12 others into various positions.
The other appointees and their positions included; Engr. Shuaibu Kabir Bello as Managing Director, Kaduna Mining Development Company (KMDC), Iliya Timbuak – Managing Director, Kaduna State Enterprise Development Agency (KADEDA), Dr. John Danfulani – Executive Secretary, Kaduna State Residents Identity Management Agency (KADRIMA), Mohammed Mubarak – Acting Executive Secretary, Kaduna State State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB) and Aliyu Saeed – Executive Director (Finance and Administration), Kaduna Mining Development Company (KDMC).
Other appointees included; Muhammad Salisu – Executive Director (Operations), Kaduna Markets Development and Management Company (KMDMC), Hon. Shehu Usman Ibrahim – Special Assistant, Local Government and Chieftaincy Matters, Falmata U. Abacha – Senior Special Assistant – Social Investment, Abdulhadi Abdullahi Makarfi – Executive Director, (Operations) Kaduna State Enterprise Development Agency (KADEDA), Iyal Auwal Yahaya – Executive Director (Finance and Administration), Kaduna State Enterprise Development Agency (KADEDA), Bashir Tijjani Babajo – Special Assistant, Special Duties and Ruth Popoola – Senior Special Assistant on Financial Inclusion.
A statement by Fabian Ugochukwu Okoye, Special Adviser to the Governor on Research, Documentation & Strategy said that all the appointments are with immediate effect.
Malam Ibraheem Musa until his appointment as Chief Press Press Secretary (CPS), was a Media Consultant to Governor Uba Sani and had served as a Senior Special Assistant on Media and Publicity in the previous administration.
Musa has over 30 years of post-graduation experience in various news organisations, culminating in his appointment as the pioneer Editor of Blueprint Weekend Newspaper in 2017.
The new Chief Press Secretary started his working career as a Press Review Officer in Government House, Bauchi in 1991 and thereafter joined Hotline News Magazine in 1993 and rose to the position of Deputy Editor. He had a short stint with The Sentinel Magazine, before joining the New Nigerian Newspapers, where he spent 10 years. At the New Nigerian, he was the Political Editor and a member of the Editorial Board.
While on a Leave of Absence, Musa served in the National Assembly as a Legislative Aide and in 2007, he was appointed as Political Editor of Trust Newspaper and later became the Kaduna Bureau Chief of the Newspaper.
In 2011, Musa left for the Blueprint Newspaper as Kaduna Bureau Chief and was appointed the Editor of Blueprint Weekend.
Musa was the Deputy Director, Strategic Communication of the Kaduna State APC Campaign Team in 2019 and in the 2023 campaign, he was the Director of Strategic Communication and Spokesman of the APC Campaign Team.
While congratulating the new appointees, Governor Uba Sani charged them to deploy their skills and competences to help accelerate the pace of development in Kaduna State and deliver on the Governance Agenda of his administration.
Governor Sani wished the new appointees God’s guidance in their new assignments.
