Gunmen Strike Again In Niger, Kill Medical Doctor
OUR CORRESPONDENT – Unknown gunmen struck again in Niger State, killing a medical doctor, Precious Chinedu Emeka in Salka village, Magama Local Government Area of the state.
According to competent sources, the gunmen abducted the doctor from his health facility and ferried to an unknown destination a few days before his death
The sources hinted that Dr Emeka’s body was discovered in the bush by the vigilante on Thursday, June 17, 2021.
Confirming the doctor’s death, the Igbo Community in Niger state, has appealed with the government to investigate the incident with a view to bringing perpetrators of the dastardly act to book.
The President of Ohanaeze Ndi-Igbo, Niger state chapter, Chief Emmanuel Ezeugo described the doctor’s murder as ‘very unfortunate’, assuring that the ‘Igbo community will not relent in investigating the case to ensure those involved are brought to justice.
Chief Ezeugo described the deceased as a promising young man who dedicated his life to the service of humanity and did not deserved to die in such a cruel manner.
