How Labour Party Chairman, Abure Was Arrested, Dragged On The Ground
The National Chairman of the Labour Party (LP), Mr Julius Abure was on Wednesday, February 21, 2024 arrested in by operatives of the Nigeria Police Force in Benin city, the Edo State capital.
Abure, who has been challenged severally in the media particularly on television by members of the party over accusation of fraud, was not only arrested but, dragged on the ground today by the police operatives that enforced his arrest.
However, the police as at the time of filing this story, was yet to give any reason for the arrest but, it was alleged that he was arrested based on allegations of fraud.
Some of the pictures and videos of the violent interception by the police are presently circulating on social media.
Abure was accused by the suspended National Treasurer of the LP of embezzling about N3billion belonging to the party.
