There are indications that the days ahead are really going to be too long for Deputy Commissioner of Police Abba Kyari as the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) has intensified efforts at getting him arrested and extradited to the United States for the final process of investigation and trial over his connection with Ramon Abbas popularly known as Huspuppi.

This was as it was gathered that th FBI has already contacted the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), to arrest the embattled DCP Abba Kyari.

A reliable source in the EFCC told Forefront that while it is true that the FBI has contacted the anti-graft agency, it cannot just effect his arrest since DCP Kyari is still a serving police officer.

The source explained that the EFCC prefers the case would be better handled by the police hierarchy in keeping with inter-agency collaboration.

It was further gathered that it was in line with the development that the Inspector General of Police (IGP), on Thursday directed for a comprehensive review of the information provided by the FBI against DCP Kyari as extracted from Huspuppi.

Huspuppi, a suspected internet fraudster was arrested in Dubai in June 2020 and taken to the USA to face allegations of internet fraud which he later confesed and pleaded guilty to.

It was during his interrogation by the FBI that Huspuppi confessed to had bribed DCP Kyari to facilitate the arrest and imprisonment of a member of his gang knwn as Chibuzo Vincent.

But in a quick reaction, Kyari denied having any money transaction with Huspuppi except that he sent money to a fashion designer for some traditional clothes and caps which Huspuppi needed.
