I Dream Of A United, Strong Kaduna State – Dr Sani Bello

BY AMOS TAUNA, KADUNA – A governorship aspirant on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), in Kaduna State, Dr. Muhammad Sani Bello, has assured of his determination to ensure a united Kaduna State devoid of any segregation in all spheres of life if elected governor of the state.

In his words; “It is my candid desire and prayer to evolve policies that will bring the people of Kaduna State as an entity irrespective of tribe, religion or section and work for the overall interest of the state for its peace, unity and development,” he told PDP members in Zonkwa, Zangon Kataf Local Government Area while on a tour to the Southern part of the state on Tuesday.

Bello also said that he remains the only aspirant that has stood with the party in the state during its trying periods, saying most members of the party left the party before the 2015 general elections.

He further said; “l remained resolute and ensure the party becomes what it is today. There are others who remain in the party before and after 2015 elections to date but did not see reasons to help the party when it was in need of support from its stakeholders.”

Bello appealed to the delegates to elect him in the coming governorship primaries, assuring them of his good intention to bring sanity in all spheres of life in the state if he eventually becomes the governor of the state.

According to him; “I am dreaming of a state where every citizen will live and do business anywhere he or she desires. My aspiration is to have a strong, united and peaceful Kaduna state that will be a pace setter for other states in the country to emulate towards ensuring harmonious relationship in the country as a whole.

“That is why my approach to issues that has to do with my campaign and my dealings with people from different parts of the state has to be in a way that every section is represented in all the committees of the campaign organization and carry along for us to work as a united family.”

Earlier, the Director General of the campaign organisation, Alhaji Suleiman Lawal Kauru, assured the people of Southern Kaduna of the aspirant’s desire to upgrade the Kafanchan campus of the State University with modern facilities to meet international standards as well as upgrade College of Education, Gidan Ways to a degree awarding institution just as the State Polytechnic campus in Samaru Kataf will become an autonomous institution.

In his own remarks, former Speaker of the Kaduna State House of Assembly, Hon Bashir Zubairu enjoined the people of the state to join hands to bring an end to the APC-led administration in the state that has brought about untold hardship, insecurity, kidnapping, job insecurity and other social vices in the state.

Also speaking, a former commissioner in the state, Mr. Tsahiru Bako, called on the people of the area to vote Dr. Muhammad Sani Bello as the party’s governorship candidate in the coming party primaries and governor for responsive, responsible, accountable and transparent government in the state.
