I Was Not Part Of Plot To Dethrone Emir Sanusi – Malami

BY VICTOR BUORO, ABUJA – Following insinuations in certain quarters that some public officers were involved in the dethronement of Emir Muhammadu Sanusi II, the Attorney-General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Abubakar Malami SAN, has declared that he is certainly not part of the plot.

Malami pointedly said that he was not in any way connected with the dethronement saga of the former Emir of Kano, Muhammadu Sanusi II or banishment to Nassarawa State for some few days.

Malami, who stated these in a statement on Sunday by Special Assistant on Media and Public Relations, Dr. Umar Jibrilu Gwandu, explained that the issue of who does what over the dethronement saga has been effectively submitted for judicial determination.

He therefore said; “The matter is consequently sub judice. Attorney-General of the Federation and Minister of Justice will not comment one way or the other over a matter that is pending before the court,” Malami enthused.
