BY CHAMBERLAIN ODEY, JOS – The Plateau State chapter of All Progressives Congress (APC) has warned members of the public to ignore a fake list in circulation, purportedly displaying winners of congresses held to elect its councillorship and chairmanship candidates for the forthcoming local government elections in the state.
A statement signed by the Party’s Caretaker Committee Secretary, Bashir Musa Sati, urged all APC members to “disregard the fake list and avoid making statements that will promote the agenda of mischief-makers”.
The Party noted that the clarification has become necessary in order to ensure no member of the party is misled by names contained in the so-called candidates’ list flying around in public space.
According to the statement; “the APC management will use the appropriate channels of communication to announce the results of the Party primaries in due course.”
It also added that when the appropriate list is finally published, provisions would be made to ensure all complaints and grievances are properly addressed in due time.
