According to sources at the review meeting, the electoral umpire took the decision to extend the deadline after considering situation reports by the RECs on the PVCs’ collection in their respective states
With the Presidential and National assembly elections slated for February 16 and the Governorship and State Assembly polls holding on March 2, 2019, INEC had originally fixed Friday, February 8 as deadline for the collection of PVCs by concerned registered voters.
