Insecurity In Nigeria Has Never Been This Bad – Pastor Adeboye
The General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Pastor Enoch Adeboye has decried the worsening state of security in the country, saying that it has never been this bad in Nigeria.
Pastor Adeboye, who stated while reacting to the abduction of some pastor of his church, specifically said that the rising spate of killings, abduction and banditry across the nation remain unprecedented.
He particularly said that the kidnapping of five pastors of his church on Thursday evening at J3/J4 area of Ogbere on the Benin-Ijebu-Ode-Sagamu Expressway is worrisome and calls for urgent action.
The abducted pastors were believed to be travelling in a commercial vehicle with registration number KW 230 XA belonging to Abia Line Transport Company which was heading towards Lagos from the Eastern part of the country.
They were believed to be on their way to attend the Redeemed church’s Ministers’ Conference in Lagos when hoodlums numbering about 10 forcefully stopped the vehicle and abducted them.
Pastor Adeboye, while speaking at the Ministers’ Conference taking place at the Redemption Camp situated along the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway, bemoaned the spate of insecurity in the country, stressing that the situation had never been this bad.
The Redeemed Church General Overseer also said the abduction of the pastors gave him a sleepless night on Thursday and urged the congregation to pray for the safety and freedom of the abducted pastors.
Pastor Adeboye further said; “As a father, how do you think I should feel to hear that five of my children have been kidnapped while on their way to attend the Ministers Conference?”
