JAMB Extends 2021 UTME Registration By Two Weeks

BY TEMI OHAKWE, ABUJA – The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB), has announced a two weeks extension of registration date for candidates seeking to sit for the 2021 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examinations UTME and Direct Entries.

Registrar of the Board, Prof. Ishaq Oloyede, who announced the extension in Abuja on Saturday after the Board’s management and stakeholders meeting on the ongoing 2021, UTME exercise, said that the 2021 UTME will now hold between June 19 and July 3, 2021.

Prof. Oloyede also said that the 2021 Mock will also hold on June 3, 2021 contrary to the May 28, 2021 initial date set for the conduct of 2021 UTME mock.

According to Oloyede; “This registration was expected to end on 15th of June but stakeholders have recommended and the management has approved a two weeks extension for registration. It will now end in May 29th, 2021.

Accordingly, the 2021 Mock UTME scheduled for 28th May 2021, will now hold on the 3rd of June 2021, while the main UTME will now hold on the 19th of July, 2021.

He further said that contrary to the two million projection for registration, only 1,134,424 candidates have so far registered.
