The Governorship Election Petition Tribunal sitting in Kaduna on Thursday, September28, 2023, nullified the election of Uba Sani of the All Progressives Congress (APC) as elected governor.
The judgement followed a petition filed by the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and its Governorship candidate, Hon. Isah Ashiru, challenging the election of Sani in the March, 2023 election.
The Tribunal also declared the election that brought in Uba Sani inconclusive.
The tribunal which made the declaration while delivering judgment via Zoom, ordered that fresh election should be conducted in seven wards in four Local Government Areas of the State.
