Kebbi Deputy Speaker, Bagudo Regains Freedom From Captivity After Horrific Seven Nights

The Deputy Speaker of the Kebbi State House of Assembly, Hon. Muhammad Samaila Bagudo, who was abducted by bandits in his hometown by gunmen, has regained freedom from captivity.

This was confirmed in a statement on Saturday night by Ahmed Idris, Chief Press Secretary to Kebbi State Governor.

Idris said that Samaila Bagudo, who was kidnapped on Friday, October 31, 2025, has been released and reunited with his family.

The Deputy Speaker of the Kebbi State House of Assembly who was abducted from his hometown of Bagudo is believed to have been reunited with his family.

Samaila Bagudo, who was abducted by dare devil gunmen at the headquarters of Bagudo Local Government Area of Kebbi State, shortly after observing Isha’i prayers, spent seven nights in captivity.

A trending video of Samaila Bagudo while in the captivity of the gunmen showed how he was blindfolded, chained in the legs with hands tied to the back and was being tortured by one of the gunmen that covered his face with a hood.

The abduction of Samaila Bagudo was confirmed by the Kebbi State Police Command which assured that efforts were ongoing to secure his release.
