Kidnapping: Police Nab 4 Suspects, Rescue 14 Persons In Niger

The Police Command in Niger State  have confirmed the arrest of four suspects who allegedly conspired to abduct people and rustle cattle across the State

Also, the Command said 14 abducted victims were rescued in Zungeru and Mangoro village in Wushishi and Munya local government areas in its clearance operations against criminal gangs.

According to Police spokesman, DSP Wasiu Abiodun, the Command got information that one Nuhu Yakubu was missing for about three days, and after a concerted search, his body was found in a bush around Gusasse area of Maikunkele in Bosso Local Government Area.

Abiodun said; “Series of interrogations and painstaking inquiry were conducted by operatives attached to Crack Squad of the command, and the effort led to the arrest of four suspects in connection with the incident.”

He named those currently in Police custody as Aminu Dada, Umar Sule, Mamman Abubakar, and Shehu Abubakar, adding they were all arrested at Labin-Rafin Gwago via Garatu in Bosso local government.

This is as the Command spokesman said the suspects confessed to killing the deceased in their statements.

He also disclosed that about 81 cows and 41 sheep suspected to have been rustled were recovered from the suspects during the operation.
