Kunak Foundation Distributes Rice To 100 Families

BY SEGUN ADEBAYO, ABUJA – In a bid to provide food to thousands of displaced persons living in Internally Displaced Person (IDP) camps in Kaduna State, the Kunak Foundation, in association with an international organisation known as Zumunta Association USA, has distributed 10-kg 100 bags to 100 families.

Speaking during the final presentation of the palliative items to beneficiaries recently in Zonkwa, the Founder of Kunak Foundation, Bavoshiya Gloria Nyan, noted that the gesture was facilitated by an international organization based in the United States of America known as the Zumunta Association US, with members from the 19 northern states.

“Kunak Foundation was part of the seven selected NGOs by Zumunta Association that benefitted from the N3.5 million made available to provide palliatives projects in seven states of the North that included Borno, Kano, Kogi, Nasarawa, Plateau, Sokoto and Kaduna.

“Kunak Foundation was selected based on our 15-year track record of dedication, hard work, consistency, transparency and the fact that we deliver. We are humbled by this gesture shown by the Zumunta Association led by the President of the Association, Mr. Philip Moses.

“We shall continue to do our best for the sick, needy and less privileged in our society. We thank the Zumunta Association for making available the sum of N500, 000 to provide palliatives for vulnerable families suffering from the pangs of hunger and displacements,” the Founder of the Kunak Foundation said.

In ensuring that all the targeted families in the state received the palliatives, all registered beneficiaries in various camps were handed 10kg bags of rice in specific locations of Kaduna State.

Recently, the distribution of palliatives by Kunak Foundation was concluded when it recently visited the ECWA Widows’’ Training School camp. Assisted by the Camp Director, Rev Victor Elisha Yaya and his team, Kunak Foundation attended to all registered beneficiaries of the palliative project that saw the beneficiaries smiling home.
