Kwara Auto Crash Claims 3 Lives

Three people reportedly died in fatal multiple accidents along the Ilorin-Ogbomoso expressway early on Saturday morning.

Reports said the auto crash occurred at about 6:00 am around the Otte community in Asa Local Government Area of Kwara state as a result of overspeeding and violation of traffic regulations by the motorists.

Eyewitness account said of the four persons involved in the accident, three of them died on the spot due to the impact, while the only survivor sustained serious injuries, including a fracture and bruises on his head.

It was gathered that some Good samaritans organised themselves and quickly rushed the lone survivor to Kwara State General Hospital in Ilorin, the State capital.

The reports further indicated that the accident involved two vehicles, a black private Toyota Corolla car, and a white commercial Mitsubishi pickup van.

Confirming the incident, the State Sector Commander of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Jonathan Owoade, said victims of the accident were taken to the General Hospital in Ilorin, with three corpses deposited at the hospital’s morgue. – With Vanguard reports
