According to a statement issued by the Command’s Public Relations Officer, SP Nafiu Abubakar, on Tuesday, the three suspects had conspired to bribe detectives to compromise investigation and prosecution of a banditry case involving Lakurawa terrorists.

SP Abubakar listed the suspects as one Umaru Garba, Alhaji Abubakar Mamman and Usman Muhammadu.

The Command Spokesperson said the suspects were immediately arrested in the process, adding that investigation had commenced into the matter.

Assuring that the suspects would be charged to court soon, SP Abubakar said the State Commissioner of Police, Bello M. Sani, reiterated the Command’s resolve to spare no efforts in the ongoing onslaughts against banditry and other heinous crimes.

Additionally, he said the Police boss, who also praised the detectives’ commitment and professionalism in discharging their official duties, urged other police operatives to emulate them.
