Medical Vacation: Buhari Jets To London Tuesday

BY VICTOR BUORO, ABUJA – President Muhammadu Buhari will leave for London, United Kingdom tomorrow, Tuesday on a four-day medical vacation, Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media and Publicity, Malam Garba Shehu has said.

Garba explained on Monday night that the president’s trip is based on the advice of his doctor. According to him; “In the course of the technical stop-over for aircraft maintenance in London on his way back from Washington last week, the President had a meeting with his doctor.

“The doctor requested the President to return for a meeting which he agreed to do.”

The spokesperson stated that the President, who is expected back on Saturday, May 12, would thereafter undertake a two-day working visit to Jigawa State.

The presidential aide said the Jigawa visit, which was deferred due to the All Progressives Congress (APC)’s Ward Congresses, would hold between Monday, May 14 and Tuesday May 15, 2018
