Ministerial Appointees: Buhari’s Administration Lacks Direction – Former Nasarawa Commissioner For Justice
BY AHMED TUKUR, LAFIA- Former Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice of Nasarawa state, Barrister Innocent Lagi has said that the list of ministers screened by the Senate will not make any difference except proactive measures are adopted to confront the enormous challenges confronting the country.
Speaking to Forefront News in Lafia, the Nasarawa state capital, Lagi said that the administration of President Muhammadu Buhari lacks direction, adding that the new crop of ministers will not make any difference but rather have pleasure of been in government.
Lagi also said that the government of President Buhari is not proactive and lacks measures to make any meaningful change in the polity that will enhance the leaving standard of the citizens.
He further said; “The government does not have a destination. As such, we are not driving in any way, the government has no objective but just the pleasure of been in power.
“The government is not going through economic recovery, we are not doing attitudinal change, and we are not doing political ideology or constitutional reforms. So, the nominees are just other invitees to the party”.
Lagi also said that the government has no plan adding that the ministerial nominees will not make any difference from what is already obtainable in the country.
He explained that a serious government needs a robust plan that will take off immediately and uplift the leaving standard of the people.
Lagi insist that the Buhari administration needs an overhaul to address to the quantum of challenges that is bedeviling the country at the moment and therefore urged President Buhari to adopt proactive measures and make wide range of consultations in bringing about the desired result and development in the country.
