Reports filtering in from the den of the deadly armed bandits that carried out the abduction of over 100 female students of the Federal Government College (FGC), Birnin Yauri, Kebbi State is that of a sour grape.

Specifically, one of the female students believed to be a 16year old girl has given birth to a boy child after more than a year in the captivity of terrorists.

The 16year old girl who is now a mother was among the remaining 11 female students still being held by terrorists.

But, in what appeared like a twist of fate, the terrorists still holding onto the remaining 11 young girls’, organized a feat for the naming of the boy child delivered by the 16years old female student whose academic progress has been badly disrupted.

The gunmen had abducted over 100 students, eight teachers during which they killed a policeman in the mixed boarding school on June 17, 2021.
However, a few days after the abduction, security operatives succeeded in rescuing some of the students, while others escaped from the gunmen in the process of taking them away.

The deadly bandits later released the teachers and 30 of the students.
Reports by PRNigeria stated that the girl delivered a baby boy in the abductors’ forest camp a few weeks ago. (https://prnigeria.com/2022/11/13/exclusive-abducted-fgc-yauri/)
It said that a local source who confirmed the story of the ‘naming ceremony’ of the child of the abducted female student of FGC Birnin Yauri, also disclosed that two other students in the terrorists’ den also gave birth to a baby girl and boy.
According to the source; “There are about four other female students who are pregnant at the moment. One of them is due to give birth any moment from now”.
Reacting to the unfortunate development, one of the troubled parents of the abducted female students, told PRNigeria on phone that there is the urgent need for the intervention of the National Security Adviser (NSA), Major-Generl Babagana Monguno (rtd.) and Chief of Defence Staff, General Leo Irabor for the rescue and or release of the remaining children.
In his words; “In the name of God Almighty, we call for that special committee constituted by the Chief of Defence Staff, General Lucky Irabor, to take charge and resolve it as quickly as possible as it did with Kaduna train passengers.
“We learnt about how the remaining abducted Abuja0Kaduna bound train passengers were released after six months in captivity through the efforts by the Irabor Committee and the endorsement of NSA Monguno.
“It is unfortunate that our daughters have spent more than one year in captivity and married off by force and becoming young mothers at tender ages… Oh my God. Haba!” the disturbed parent said amid sobbing.
