Moves By Thugs Allegedly Working For Ousted PDP National Secretary To Stop NWC Members Entering Their Offices Fail

In what appeared a brazen attempt to disrupt the activities of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), one Emmanuel Okoronkwo, believed to be an aide to the ousted National Secretary of the Party, Senator Samuel Nnaemeka Anyanwu, on Wednesday, March 12, 2025, led some thugs and blocked the entrance to the party’s national headquarters.
It was gathered that he moved in with the thugs in a bid to stop members of the National Working Committee (NWC) from gaining access to their offices.
However, the quick intervention of security agencies and some members of staff of the PDP that mobilised themselves to wade off the uninvited intruders saved the day.
Accordingly, the security agencies curtained the situation as well as arrested the sponsored the thugs which assisted in dousing the unfortunate development.
This incident was the latest development in the ongoing leadership crisis within the PDP, as the embattled ousted National Secretary, Senator Samuel Anyanwu is still laying claim to the position in spite of High Court and Court of Appeal judgments ousting him.
The PDP national leadership has equally rejected Anyanwu’s claims to the office of National Secretary, stressing that he has no legal basis whatsoever to occupy the office.
