NAF Debunks Story On Killing Of 250 Boko Haram Fighters

BY VICTOR BUORO, ABUJA – The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) on Sunday debunked a story that said its personnel killed over 250 Boko Haram fighters, saying it was a false sensational news item whose gory doctored visuals never originated from the NAF.

The NAF Director of Public Relations and Information, Air Commodore Ibikunle Daramola, made this known in a statement in Abuja.

According to  Daramola, “The NAF wishes to categorically state that the “Media houses and indeed the general public are please reminded that authentic information on the activities of the NAF will always be released officially by the Director of Public Relations and Information (DOPRI).

“Any reports emanating from other sources without verification from the NAF should be completely discountenanced”.

Daramola further disclosed that NAF has already commenced action towards prosecuting the originator(s) of the aforementioned false report.
