National Convention Fallout: APC Slams PDP, Woos Aggrieved Members

The All Progressives Congress (APC) says impunity still remains the second nature of the opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) given the outcome of its just-concluded elective National Convention in Abuja.

Reacting to events that trailed the convention, the governing party said; “Indeed, the PDP has once again displayed itself to the generality of Nigerians that it is a Party with corruption deeply rooted in its DNA.”

The APC’s reaction, which came from its National Publicity, Alhaji Bolaji Abdullahi, noted that; “The abnormalities that trailed the PDP National Convention have further exposed the PDP as a Party not ready and willing to change.”

It described the PDP as “A leopard cannot change its spot”, noting that; “Again, it is tragic that the PDP which used to pride itself as “the biggest political Party in Africa” has now been reduced to a regional party.

The APC image maker said recent developments within the opposition party clearly demonstrate the need for all lovers of democratic tenets and aggrieved PDP members to take advantage of the governing Party’s national spread and appeal to be part of moves that will salvage Nigeria from corruption and impunity
